Cupertino, June 10: Apple WWDC 2024 finally happened and during the event, Apple introduced some of the groundbreaking updates. Apple CEO Tim Cook kick started the Apple’s highly anticipated event and confirmed about the “intelligence” and groundbreaking software updates. Apple first introduced Vision OS 2 for Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headsets.

Apple introduced its software updates to its six broader categories which included visionOS 2 for Apple Vision Pro headset, iOS for iPhones, Audio & Home for Apple TV and Apple Air Pods, watchOS for Apple watches, iPadOS for Apple iPads and iMacOS for the Apple Mac computers.

Apple Intelligence Key AI Features, Personal Intelligence

Apple also opened up about its personal intelligence system ‘Apple Intelligence’ during the Apple WWDC 2024. Apple said that most of the online AI tools know a little about individuals. Apple Intelligence comes with capabilties like language, image, action and personal context.

Apple Intelligence comes with understanding of personal context including relations and also boosting privacy. Apple announced that this personal intelligence is processed on-device boosting privacy. The tech giant also announced Private Cloud Compute for boosting privacy and never storing data. Apple’s personal intelligence also comes with natural language search, search in videos and create a memory movie using image understanding. Another feature introduced was Genmoji which would allow the people to create real-time emojis with text descriptions.

Siri Updates

Siri voice assistant is also improved by Apple and dressed in new features. Siri comes with richer language understanding. The voice assistant brings more integrating tasks more effortlessly. The tech giant promised more features next year. It will also take in-app actions on behalf of the users. With more voice command, Siri makes interacting with each apps intuitively without even touching the screen. It also makes summary of the meeting and understanding of personal text such as personally sent links, find information and do more.

ChatGPT Integration:

Asking Siri questions which it might not know will offer suggestions to use ChatGPT bringing seamless integration. With ChatGPT in iOS 18 and other platforms coming later this year, the tech giant also said that the users will be in control of their privacy.

Apple Intelligence will be available in US this summer.
